Under the shade of gorgeous old trees and amidst fields of beautiful lavender, Belinda wed her long-time love Marten. It was a lovely garden ceremony held at Sault in Daylesford, Victoria.
Belinda wore a 1940’s Hollywood-glamour inspired gown in Italian oystercoloured silk, with a French lace overlay ‘I love all things French,’ says Belinda. ‘Before we were engaged, we drove by Sault one day on our way to Daylesford and I fell in love with the French style cottage and the adjacent lavender field’. Marten wore a classic black Hugo Boss tux and the bridesmaids looked beautiful in their peach gowns by Anna Campbell.
After seeking our styling service for their special day, A Lavish Affair in consultation with the bride completed a design proposal with suggested colour palettes, floorplan layouts, floral, stationery and cake ideas. In the garden and above the bridal table bottled blooms hung in tones of peach, pink, white and yellow. Bouquets also bore the French provincial garden touches that Belinda so loved. Belinda worked with our stationery designer, who designed an elegant letterpress wedding invitation featuring a vintage tree as the main motif to tie in with the romantic ceremony location. The suite was printed in matte gold ink onto plush cotton ivory stock and matching bunting was hung with old romantic quotes. The Sault Restaurant in Daylesford was transformed into the perfect celebration room with fresh flowers also in hanging vases that framed the married couple. The beautiful cake stood amongst vintage family wedding photographs.
‘The invitations were elegant and timeless and made me think of a romantic wedding in the French countryside’ said Belinda ‘this along with the venue location and all the little styling details were just perfect’.
A Lavish Affair set each area on the day of the wedding ensuring each was to Belinda’s liking, the result was stunning, the mood created was so soft and pretty, her dream wedding come to life.
