Have you been allocated to host or plan your bestie’s bridal shower and have no idea where to start? We’re here to help! All the things you need to know about planning a bridal shower.
- The venue
Most bridal showers are held at the host’s home, or at the home of the bride. If there isn’t a suitable location consider hiring an area in a restaurant or a hotel.
2. The Theme
Every bridal shower needs a theme! It should be something that the bride loves. Whether it be all pink, or french inspired – the options are endless.
3. The Invites
Just like any event, invites are really important. Make sure you give your guests enough notice so they can reserve the date and make arrangements. We recommend sending them 6-8 weeks prior.
4. The Menu
There’s no real rule when it comes to the food and beverage for a bridal shower, whether it be a full sit-down meal, a high tea, or cocktail-style, it should be something that will be enjoyed by the bride.
5. The Dress Code
A bridal shower is usually on the fancier side of things, and great excuse to get the girls dressed up. Think pretty, it will make it all the more fun!
6. The Entertainment
A bridal shower wouldn’t be complete without some great games! There are so many choices, so we recommend picking 3-5.
7. The Music
It’s good to have a mix of music. You want something that will suit a range of ages, something upbeat and fun for background music.
8. The Gifts
You can either create a registry, where the bride can select items she likes for her home, or you can let the guests choose. If you’re creating a registry, it’s good to do it in advance so the information can be placed on the invite.
