Things That Are Often Forgotten When Planning Your Wedding

There are a million things to think about when planning a wedding, and so often things get forgotten. We’ve got you covered, check off these tasks to make sure everything is ready for your big day.

Bad weather contingency plan

Know when the sun will set, to get the most out of your photo time

Transport for not only bridal party but immediate family too

Designate a point-of-contact person for the day, for your suppliers

Have a contingency fund, for unexpected costs

Always have a few extras, just incase – cutlery, crockery, napkins

Someone to help with the photos, gathering any guests that are required

Create a wedding website, and include the web link on your invites

Arrange transport for yourselves and immediate family, for after the wedding

Ask guests for any allergies or dietary restrictions, and make sure they are passed onto you caterer

Remember to include yourselves and the bridal party when tallying the final guest numbers

Order crew meals, for all hired suppliers that will be there on the day

Remember to pack your overnight bag, with anything you need for the following day

Arrange accommodation options for any travelling guests

Supply your band or DJ with song selections and ‘do not play’ songs

Remember any wedding signage required for the day, to direct guests

Designate someone or a few people to pack up and take any personal items from the venue at the end of the night

Allow time and extra money in the budget to have your gown and any bridal party attired altered

Lay out each bridal party outfit (including accessories) and make sure nothing is missing or broken

Remember to eat and drink throughout the day, there’s nothing worse than a fainting bride!
