When planning a wedding there are mountains of things to remember and keep up to date. Lists will be your best friend during this time, the trick is to keep them updated as much as possible, so you’re always on top of things. Here are the few key to-do lists to keep handy when planning your big day.
Guest List & RSVP’s
When you’ve finally decided on that final list of invited guests, we recommend creating a spreadsheet document to make this list easily editable. The best part of a spreadsheet doc is that it does all of the calculations for you so you always know where your guest numbers are at. It’s also a great idea to include postal addresses, allergies and any guest requirements so they’re all in the right place when you need to access this information. Most importantly, keep this document up to date, updating your spreadsheet when guests respond attending or not attending, this will save you a whole lot of stress when it comes to creating the seating plan and arranging menus.
To-Do’s
It’s a great idea to keep a running list of all of the tasks that need to be completed, and tick them off once done. We find it helpful to list items in order of priority, so that you do those key items first, before moving onto the smaller details. You’ll sleep so much better knowing that everything is written out and covered on your master to-do list.
The Day
Your wedding day will fly by in a flash, keep everything on track with a day list, so you know exactly what should be happening and when. It’s a great help to also consider hiring a wedding planner and/ or coordinator for your big day, so you don’t have to worry about a thing.
