Hiring a wedding planner and stylist for Alexis and Travis, meant they could discuss their ideas and gain invaluable advice to make their special day a sophisticated and seamless celebration.
Married exactly one year after they became engaged, and four years from when they first met, they tied the knot in a beautiful inner city garden followed by a stunning rooftop reception.
The couple commented “most of our family and friends flew in from overseas and interstate so having the ceremony and reception party within walking distance of each other made the most sense. And It just so happened that our venue of choice was also a stylish hotel for our guests to rest their weary dancing feet, after the festivities.”
We worked with Alexis and Travis to achieve a perfect day, consistent with their style and brimming with lovely details and sentiment. The theme of the wedding revolved around the style of the wedding invitations, which Alexis designed and featured a simple logo that was incorporating both the couple’s first initial.
After the outdoor ceremony, the guests entered the rooftop reception and were greeted by an energetic jazz quartet, fresh oysters (hand shucked straight out of the shell) and delectable canapés. As the night went on, the dining hall connected to the rooftop was opened revealing up-lit trees and a long table, softly illuminated by pendant bulbs and tea light candles. The tabletop was lined with long narrow mirrors down the centre and covered in more than 80 vases, filled with different flower blooms and herbs.
Shortly after the evening meal, guests were escorted back onto the rooftop balcony for roving desserts and dancing, while enjoying the sparkling lights of the city and beyond.
The A Lavish Affair team were on hand throughout the day and worked tirelessly with every supplier to ensure each part of the day was flawlessly executed to the couple’s brief. The day was a picture perfect success.
“When we revealed the room at dinner time we heard everyone gasp. “That’s the highlight moment and what we wanted,” said Alexis.
